Bob Holmes graduated High School and turned 18 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina.  Bob spent four years as an active duty Marine, serving as an Infantryman in the first Marine Division out of Camp Pendleton, California.  Some of the foreign countries he was deployed to included Italy, Sicily, Japan, Korea, The Philippine Islands, and Panama.  After his tour of service, he worked in Law Enforcement for the Charles County, Maryland Sheriff’s Office and the Salisbury, Maryland City Police Department where he was assigned to the K9 Division.  During the years he lived in Maryland, Bob trained Police K9s with numerous police departments. Bob was injured in the line of duty several times and eventually retired from police work.

Bob has become the number one Veterinarian recommended Dog Trainer in this area of operation.  He is referred by area dog kennels, groomers, breeders, and rescue groups. Bob is the original pioneer of in-home private training.

Bob Holmes attended the Maryland State Police Patrol Dog Academy.  Bob was a Police K9 Handler and Trainer and went on to instruct and train Police Dog Handlers. Almost immediately, Bob realized that pet dog owners could benefit from the techniques he learned from the Maryland State Police Academy and began offering private lessons as well as classes for non-police dog owners. Within a few years, Bob was recognized as a Master Dog Trainer and an authority on training.  In the Maryland Court System, Bob was also regarded as an expert witness in dog-related cases. Due to Bob specializing in addressing canine behavior problems, the Wicomico County Maryland Animal Control Department made it a policy for an owner to contract with him in order to retrieve a quarantined dog involved in a bite case.

Bob Holmes has trained thousands of dogs in several states for Police Departments as well as private citizens.
